About
Delphine Munro
Delphine Munro is a senior cultural strategist and curator whose career has been defined by a commitment to cultural placemaking and cultural diplomacy. For more than three decades, she has shaped how major European financial and multilateral institutions engage with contemporary art, pioneering responsible collecting, climate-focused artist residencies, and programmes that foreground diversity, inclusion, and long-term stewardship. Most notably, she designed and ran the Artists Development Programme (ADP), one of the longest-running and most successful artists' residencies in Europe. Delphine effectively designed the cultural blueprint of major institutions in Europe, as if she were Europe's very own "art diplomat".
Throughout my decades working with artists, I have become convinced that they are uniquely sensitive and therefore uniquely perceptive. I therefore believe that they have a fundamental role to play in waking us up to the perils of the climate crisis. Corporations have been awakened to their impact on and responsibility towards society. They are now seen as complementing public museums. Through our firm commitment to socially-engaged and climate-conscious art, we aim to provide a leading example of the positive impact that art can have on society.
Delphine brings together curatorial expertise, board-level governance experience, and deep knowledge of contemporary art. She also has extensive experience in corporate and philanthropic environments, serving on multiple museum and foundation boards.
Based between Luxembourg and Paris, Delphine now leads Serendipity Art Consultancy, working globally with institutions, foundations, policy makers, collectors and artists to turn serendipitous encounters with art into coherent, values-driven cultural projects.
